Dr. Nida Chenagtsang · Amdo, North Eastern Tibet

Dr. Nida Chenagtsang is a traditional Tibetan physician and lineage holder of the Yuthok Nyingthig, the unique spiritual healing tradition of Tibetan Medicine. He is the Medical Director and principal teacher of Sorig Khang International and the Sowa Rigpa Institute: School of Traditional Tibetan Medicine; Co-Founder of the International Ngakmang Institute, and Co-Founder of Pure Land Farms.

Vision of the IMA:

IMA is aimed at the formation of culturally independent projects (plant ecosystem preservation, keystone species botanical gardens, field studies, documentation and translation, programs, etc) that reflect the natural healing tradition as it is "by the tradition for the tradition".

In addition to sustaining the local people and places who have upheld traditional healing systems for generations, the IMA seeks to create intercultural support and exchange around these healing systems where appropriate.

Through the generation of interest and resources, these individual cultures receive sustained support for their heritage and wisdom to continue into the future generations. The younger generations see the multifarious benefits in continuing their healing traditions. At a wider level, opportunities are created for reformation of global medical culture and our planetary views on health and wellness.
